Kevin Netter's 20 points and eight rebounds helped the Falcons (3-5) hold on for a men's college basketball victory last night over the Titans in Bowling Green, Ohio.
John Reimold added 17 points and hit four of seven shots from 3-point range for the Falcons. He scored 11 during the second half, throughout which Bowling Green maintained a single-digit lead.
Bowling Green, which led, 29-21, at halftime, never trailed after taking a 6-4 lead about five minutes into the game.
James Thues led Detroit with 12 points. Willie Wallace and Rulon Harris each added 10. Ben Green grabbed eight rebounds and scored six points.
The Falcons 47 percent from the floor; the Titans made 39 percent of their shots.
Noteworthy: Detroit made only one of its 13 3-point attempts.
Wright State 69, Youngstown State 59
Seth Doliboa scored 24 points and Vernard Hollins had 19 to lead the Raiders (2-5, 1-0 Horizon) over the Penguins (2-6, 0-1) in Youngstown.
Youngstown State led, 33-31, at halftime and 47-46 with 9:24 left in the second half.
But Wright State went on a 14-6 run led by Doliboa and Hollins to put the Penguins away.
Doug Underwood led Youngstown State with 22 points. He was 6 of 15 from 3-point range.
Noteworthy: Wright State shot nearly 60 percent in the second half.
